Poland launches power restriction due to heat wave
As of Monday morning Poland is under a Level 20 power restriction from 10:00 to 17:00, limiting power consumption by firms consuming more than 300kW to a barebones minimum necessary for maintaining safety of people and equipment. The limitations do not apply to sensitive institutions such as hospitals.
Polish power grid operator (PSE) had requested reduced mid-day consumption after Poland’s power generation shortfall increased dramatically last Thursday following unplanned stoppages of a number of power blocks, resulting from continued heat wave.
