Three Road Infrastructure Agency officials arrested on bribery charges released on 25 000 leva bail

Three employees of Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency arrested late last week on charges ranging from abuse of influence to influence peddling have been released on bail of 25 000 leva each, television station bTV said on October 8 2012.
Investigators have alleged that the three were involved in taking huge sums in bribes related to tolls and permits for heavy goods lorries.
Companies involved in the alleged corruption are being investigated.
Three other officials who were arrested for alleged participation in the scheme were released on October 6.
