John Travolta arrives in Bulgaria for filming of the Killing Season
Hollywood star John Travolta arrived at Sofia Airport on October 8 to head for Nu Boyana studios and his role in forthcoming film Killing Season, television station bTV said.
Robert de Niro will arrive in Bulgaria later to take part in the same production, the report said. Shooting of the scenes of the two actors will take just a few days.
De Niro plays an American and Travolta a Serbian, veterans of the war in Bosnia, according to the report.
According to the movie’s IMDB entry, the two characters played by Travolta and De Niro in the film, directed by Mark Steven Johnson (director of When in Rome and of Ghost Rider), “clash in the remote Smoky Mountain wilderness”.
The film is due for a 2013 release.
