Teachers’ salaries in Bulgaria to rise about 5% from January 1 – Education Minister
Salaries of teachers in Bulgaria will increase by about five per cent from January 1 2012, Education Minister Sergei Ignatov said on October 8.
The increases would vary according to a number of criteria, including local conditions and how schools are managed.
Speaking during a visit to the Black Sea city of Bourgas, Ignatov said, “I am sure that in Bourgas the increase will be higher, because the mayor cares about education”.
He said that other criteria included the number of children at a school, the quality of education and accumulated funds.
