Greece sets up three refugee camps near the Albanian border

Greek authorities said that they are working hard to set up three new welcome centres for refugees in the area of Ioannina, a city on the border with Albania.

According to Greek official sources, the operations are being conducted by military units. The operations include the setting up of a camp in a former dormitory in the area of Pogon, near the Albanian border, which is expected to accommodate 200 refugees.

Another camp is expected to be set up in the area of Filipiadha near Ioannina. This camp is expected to have a capacity of 700 refugees.
