Bulgaria granted 13 500 first residence permits to non-EU nationals in 2019

Bulgaria granted a total of 13 500 first residence permits to nationals of countries outside the European Union in 2019, EU statistics agency Eurostat said on November 27.

This is the highest number of first residence permits granted by Bulgaria to third-country nationals since 2010, when 4051 were granted. The number has risen steadily each year since then.
