Frontex announces stress tests for Europe’s external borders
The director of Frontex, Fabrice Leggeri, plans to introduce a stress test on the external borders of Europe of a type equivalent to those in the banking sector.
As revealed in an interview with Welt Sunday, come October the analysis of the weaknesses in the borders of certain EU countries will start.
These include Germany and Greece. These two countries have in fact already agreed to participate.
According to information, which is derived from the German government, Finland, Slovenia and Romania have also agreed, the German newspaper said.
The analysis will include different scenarios for land, sea and air borders.
