Kosovo demands the demarcation of border with Serbia
Before even finalising the process of border demarcation with Montenegro, Kosovo’s authorities are planning to also carry out the border demarcation with Serbia.
Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj says that within two years, Kosovo is planning to finalise this process with Serbia.
“I am engaged to finalise the process for the border demarcation with Serbia within two years,” Hoxhaj said.
“If in the past, Serbia has followed a hostile policy toward our citizens, today it is following a hostile policy against our state, therefore the border demarcation should be the next topic on the agenda,” he said.
According to Hoxhaj, the agreement on an integrated management of the border, which was signed in 2011, has been just a legal bilateral recognition of the border of Kosovo and that demarcation must be the next step.
