Night of protests in Skopje, several wounded and injured
A journalist and a wounded photo reporter injured, dozens of people arrested and damage to the Ministry of Justice and the presidential buildings in the centre of the capital was the toll of the protests last night in Skopje, which went through a tense atmosphere.
The protests held by NGOs started last night starting from the Special Prosecution. The protests were against the decision by president Gjorge Ivanov on the pardoning of those politicians who were involved in criminal and corruption affairs.
Protesters, which amounted to about 5000 people, clashed with police as they were trying to approach the seat of the party in power, VMRO-DPMNE.
