European Parliament adopts resolution urging Polish government to end constitutional conflict

The European Parliament passed a resolution on the situation concerning Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal on Wednesday, expressing serious concerns with the effective paralysis of the tribunal which threatens Poland’s democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

The European Parliament called on the Polish government to publish and fully comply with the tribunal’s ruling on the amendment to the act on the tribunal itself. The resolution was passed by an overwhelming majority of MEPs.
