20 killed in Turkey explosions
Two explosions near a train station in Turkey’s capital have killed at least 20 people and wounded scores more, according to state-run media. The death toll is expected to rise.
The Saturday morning blasts are reported to have struck just ahead of a large peace rally in Ankara.
The rally was planned to call for an end to the conflict between Turkish security sources and the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK.
The cause of the blasts was not immediately clear, although some unconfirmed reports say at least one explosion was set off by a suicide bomber.
