Erdogan in Brussels with migration on the table with the EU

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is on an official visit in Brussels to meet with the presidents of all the EU institutions. His aim of all is to address the migration issue and the improvement of Turkey-EU relations.

The EU expects better recording of refugees, the improvement of conditions for return of refugees to their country of origin and dealing with refugee smuglers. The countries of Europe are preparing to redistribute the funds offered for refugees and are willing to provide at least a billion euro to Turkey for hosting refugees. Turkey hosts about two million refugees from Syria.
