Podcast: Groovy and liveable – Plovdiv, European Capital of Culture 2019
On its way to its place as European Capital of Culture 2019, Bulgaria’s city of Plovdiv is quite the happening place, with a wide range of events from the One Design Week to Architecture Week, Dance Week and the Night of Museums and Galleries in September.
The city also boasts a rich archaeological heritage, of which ever more is being uncovered, and a cutting-edge contemporary feel in the revival of Plovdiv’s Kapana district as an avante-garde centre of the arts community.
Bulgaria Now’s Lance Nelson was taken on a walking tour by The Sofia Globe’s publisher and editor-in-chief – and keen fan of Plovdiv – Clive Leviev-Sawyer.
