Polish authorities shocked by words of FBI head

Polish prime minister Ewa Kopacz said FBI Director James Comey’s words were “unacceptable” in Poland, referring to remarks he made in a Washington Post column on Friday calling Poles Nazi “accomplices” and suggesting that Poland shared responsibility for the Holocaust.

“To those who are incapable of presenting the historic truth in an honest way, I want to say that Poland was not a perpetrator but a victim of World War 2,” Kopacz said. “I would expect “complete knowledge and historical truth” from state officials like Comey who speak on the matter.”
