NSI poll: Business climate in Bulgaria improved in December

A regular monthly poll by the National Statistical Institute (NSI), the results of which were released on December 30, has found views of Bulgaria’s business climate in December were more positive compared with those in November.

Previous polls by the NSI found an improvement in January, with sentiment largely unchanged in February and again in March, improving in April and again in May, before declining in June and again in July, followed by an improvement in August, with a worsening in September and October, and views unchanged in November.

In December 2024, the total business climate indicator increased by 1.7 percentage points in comparison with November.

An increase of the indicator was observed in the industry, retail trade and service sectors. Only in the construction sector a reduction was registered, the NSI said.
