Bulgarian President Radev announces caretaker cabinet to take office on January 27

Bulgarian President Roumen Radev has announced the full list of caretaker cabinet ministers who will take office on January 27, succeeding Boiko Borissov’s government and preparing the country for early parliamentary elections on March 26 2017.

Deputy Prime Minister for internal order and security and Defence Minister: Stefan Yanev

Deputy Prime Minister for EU funds: Malina Krumova

Deputy Prime Minister for the preparation for Bulgaria’s EU Presidency in 2018: Denitsa Zlatkova

Interior Minister: Plamen Uzunov

Finance Minister: Kiril Ananiev

Minister of Labour and Social Policy: Gulub Spasov

Minister of Regional Development and Public Works: Spas Popnikolov

Minister of Education and Science: Nikolai Denkov

Foreign Minister: Radi Naidenov

Justice Minister: Maria Encheva

Culture Minister: Rashko Mladenov

Environment and Water Minister: Irina Kostova

Agriculture and Food Minister: Hristo Bozukov

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications: Hristo Alexiev

The handover of power will take place at the Presidency on January 27 at 10am, the President’s media office said.
