Bulgaria Now podcast: The Trump grumps, Hillary hilarity and Bokova knockover

The first television debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is just days away, on September 26.

Coincidentally, that same day, the UN Security Council will hold its next “straw poll” on the candidates to be the next Secretary-General. That vote may determine whether Irina Bokova is knocked out of the race as Bulgaria’s candidate.

Both races, in the US and at the UN, have their bizarre aspects. And not only bizarre but also worrying, especially in the US race where voters – unless they choose a third- or fourth-party candidate – are facing a choice between two of the most controversial presidential candidates for decades.

In the latest Bulgaria Now podcast, Lance Nelson runs through the big questions as The Sofia Globe’s Clive Leviev-Sawyer and Imanuel Marcus and Justin Chapman of Foreigners and Friends Magazine mull over the madness across the ocean.
