Polish-British talks without compromise over curbing EU migrant benefits
Poland supports Great Britain’s drive for EU reform but doesn’t agree to proposals of limiting social welfare rights of EU migrants, PM Beata Szydlo said after her meeting with British PM David Cameron.
Cameron wants to withdraw in-work benefits from newly arrived EU-workers for four years, a proposal which could affect thousands of Poles arriving in Britain for the first time.
PM Szydlo said after morning talks with Cameron that “there are questions which we do not have full agreement on yet”. Contested issues will yet be debated, she added referring to welfare benefits issue.
