EIA reduces estimates of Poland’s shale gas resources
Poland’s shale gas resources are estimated at 146 Tcf, while shale oil resources are seen at 1.8 billion barrels, U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA) said in a report on global shale resources, noting that the new estimate constitutes a 20% reduction vs. 2011 report.
“Poland’s risked, technically recoverable shale resources are estimated at 146 Tcf of shale gas and 1.8 billion barrels of shale oil in four assessed basins,” EIA said.
