New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria in January-November 2024 up 16.2% y/y
There were 40 211 new passenger car registrations in Bulgaria in January-November 2024, an increase of 16.2 per cent compared with January-November 2023, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said on December 19.
Of the new passenger car registrations in Bulgaria in January-November 2024, a total of 30 995 were petrol cars, 6084 diesel, 1768 battery-electric, 924 hybrid-electric and 440 plug-in hybrid.
In November 2024, new EU car registrations fell by 1.9 per cent. France led the way with a sharp 12.7 per cent decline, followed by Italy (-10.8 per cent), while the German market stagnated slightly (-0.5 per cent).
Among the four most significant EU markets, only Spain recorded positive growth (6.4 per cent).
Eleven months into 2024, new car registrations remained stable (+0.4 per cent), reaching 9.7 million units.
While the market in Spain performed positively (+5.1 per cent), declines were witnessed in France (-3.7 per cent), Germany (-0.4 per cent), and Italy (-0.2 per cent).
