Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in January 2023 was 3.9%
Unemployment in Bulgaria in January 2023 was 3.9 per cent, down from four per cent in December 2022 and from 4.5 per cent in January 2022, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on March 2, citing seasonally-adjusted data.
Across the EU, unemployment in January 2023 was 6.1 per cent, unchanged from December and down from 6.3 per cent in January 2022, Eurostat said.
In the euro zone, unemployment in January was 6.7 per cent, down from 6.8 per cent in January 2022.
In Bulgaria, youth unemployment in January 2023 was 8.6 per cent, down from 8.8 per cent in December and down from 13.6 per cent in January 2022, Eurostat said.
EU youth unemployment in January was 14.4 per cent, down from 14.5 per cent in December. Youth unemployment in the EU in January 2022 was 14.5 per cent.
In the euro zone, youth unemployment in January was 14.4 per cent, up from 14.3 per cent in December and the same as the 14.4 per cent reported by Eurostat for January 2022.
