Poll: Business sentiment in Bulgaria improved in February

A regular monthly poll by the National Statistical Institute (NSI) has found that business sentiment in Bulgaria improved in February.

In February 2023, the total business climate indicator increased by 1.4 percentage points compared with January, the NSI said on February 28.

The indicators in Bulgaria’s industry, construction and service sectors rose, while that in the retail trade remained unchanged compared with January.

In the industry sector, the indicator was up by 1.3 percentage points, with managers having improved expectations about the coming six months.

In the construction sector, the indicator was up by one percentage point, and in the service sector by 3.1 percentage points, with managers in both sectors optimistic about the next six months.

In the retail trade, the indicator was unchanged, with expectations about the business situation over the next six months remaining optimistic, the NSI said.
