Bulgaria will host Junior Eurovision 2015 – official
Bulgaria will be the host of the Junior Eurovision 2015 song contest, Bulgarian National Television (BNT) director-general Vyara Ankova said on January 26.
Ankova was speaking after meeting, along with Bulgarian National Radio director-general Radoslav Yankulov and European Broadcasting Union head Ingrid Deltenre, Prime Minister Boiko Borissov and National Assembly Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva.
Bulgaria placed second in the 2014 Junior Eurovision contest and was offered the opportunity to host the 2015 event after last year’s winner, Italy, declined.
A media statement by BNT quoted Ankova as saying that the most important topic facing the station was organising Junior Eurovision, “and I am glad that we got great support in this regard. So today I can announce that Bulgaria and BNT will be the host of this prestigious event”.
