Sofia Science Festival 2014 drew thousands of visitors
The Sofia Science Festival, held in the Bulgarian capital city from May 8 to 11 2014, drew thousands of visitors, according to figures released by co-organisers the British Council.
About 3000 people attended the shows and presentations and 5000 the demonstration stands and – a popular attraction – the open-air experiments.
Professor Robert Winston, a pioneer in the science of assisted reproduction, was the star attraction at the opening while Professor Frank Burnet’s talk, “Meet Your Brain” sold out all tickets.
