Roma segregation court row in Hungary

Hungarian Human Resources Minister Zoltán Balog was summoned to Nyíregyháza Court on Tuesday to testify over the alleged segregation of Roma children in a school that opened in 2011 and is run by the Greek Catholic Church on an estate inhabited by Roma.
The Chance for Children Foundation, which lobbies for Roma and marginalised children to have equal access to education, has lodged a claim against the local government and the church, accusing the latter of segregation and of preventing local Roma children from integrating in society.
