Hungarian government seeks refund of Jewish reparations

The Hungarian government is calling for the refund of millions of dollars paid out to the US-based Claims Conference to settle Hungarian Holocaust survivors’ demands for reparations, the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration said on its website on Tuesday. The government said the Claims Conference had failed to satisfactorily account for how money from the Hungarian state had been disbursed.
