Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry warns of upcoming three days of strike actions in Belgium

Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has issued a warning of upcoming three-day national strike actions in Belgium.

The ministry said that these include a public transport strike, including rail, on November 24, while on November 25, education system and public services employees will be on strike, and on November 26, there will be strikes in the private and public sectors.

During the three days, significant disruptions in the functioning of the transport sector in the country are expected, the ministry said.

These include difficulties in getting to and from Charleroi Airport, Brussels.

Zaventem Airport, Brussels, cancels all departing flights on November 26 2025 and some arriving flights may be cancelled on the same date.

Charleroi Airport has already cancelled all departing and arriving flights on November 26.

There will be changes to the schedule of the National Railway Company (SNCB) for the period from 10pm on November 23 until the end of the day on November 26.

Brussels public transport companies – STIB-MIVB and De Lijn – expect significant restrictions on the movement of the capital’s metro, trams and buses.
