Eurostat: House prices in Bulgaria rose 156% between 2015 and Q3 2025

House prices in Bulgaria increased by 156 per cent between 2015 and the third quarters of 2025, according to data posted by European Union statistics agency Eurostat on January 9.

In the EU over this period, house prices more than tripled in Hungary (+275 per cent) and have more than doubled in 11 countries, with the largest increases seen in Portugal (+169 per cent), Lithuania (+162 per cent) and Bulgaria (+156 per cent).

Finland was the only country where house prices decreased during this period (-2 per cent).

Eurostat said that during the past decade, between 2015 and the third quarter of 2025, house prices in the EU increased by 63.6 per cent and rents by 21.1 per cent.

Among the EU member states for which data are available, one country showed an annual decrease in house prices in the third quarter of 2025, and 25 showed an annual increase.

The fall was registered in Finland (-3.1 per cent), while the highest increases were recorded in Hungary (+21.1 per cent), Portugal (+17.7 per cent) and Bulgaria (+15.4 per cent).
