Bulgaria’s Pamporovo opens 2025/26 ski season

Pamporovo, one of Bulgaria’s three major mountain resorts, opened its 2025/26 ski season on December 28.

The official first day of the resort’s ski season saw six ski slopes open.

On its official website, the resort said that because of current conditions, only half-day and one-day ski passes will be offered until December 30 2025, with one-day passes available at promotional prices: 88 leva (44.99 euro) for adults and 53 leva (27.10 euro) for children aged seven to under 12.

Starting this season, Pamporovo introduces the new “Two-Way Ticket Plus”, which allows ticket holders to choose between Ski Lift No. 2 – the four-seater chairlift from Studenets to Snezhanka Peak, or Ski Lift No. 5 – the six-seater chairlift from Malina to Snezhanka Peak, as well as all-day access to the Ochko mini ski lift at Snezhanka Peak, located between the upper stations of Chairlift No. 7 (Dvata Mosta) and Chairlift No. 5.

The resort said that if weather conditions are favourable and before the New Year holidays, some of the most popular ski slopes are also expected to open, including Snezhanka Slope No. 12 (Stoykite), Snezhanka No. 5, and No. 5a.

Among the highlights of the season are the fully renovated children’s ski kindergarten, the upgraded ski storage facilities, and the new VIP ski storage, offering first-class comfort, personal space, and quick, convenient access to ski equipment, the resort said.

Bansko opened its ski season on December 13 and Borovets on December 27.
