Because of flu epidemics, pupils at schools in the Plovdiv, Vratsa and Haskovo districts are going over to online learning.

Pupils in Plovdiv district will switch to online learning from January 29 to February 4 inclusive.

On February 5, when the mid-term school holiday begins, the district headquarters against flu and other infectious diseases will meet again to assess whether the measures should be extended.

Three districts have issued flu epidemics declarations in effect from January 27

The list includes Vratsa until January 31, Pleven until February 2, and Shoumen until February 4. In Vratsa, pupils will be on online learning next week.

The temporary anti-epidemic measures already introduced in Haskovo district are being extended from today until January 31.

In addition to the measures currently in force, the in-person learning process in Haskovo district is also being suspended next week.

Classes are already suspended in Yambol and Vidin, where, however, only in person-classes in Vidin municipality are suspended. They also have general temporary anti-epidemic measures in force.

Such measures are also in effect in Dobrich, Veliko Turnovo, Varna, Plovdiv and Blagoevgrad.

In all of those districts, by order of the directors of the relevant regional health inspectorates, preventive examinations, mandatory immunizations and re-immunizations and scheduled consultations of healthy pregnant women and children have been suspended, as well as visits to medical institutions for hospital care and to specialized institutions for the provision of social services and residential social services for children and adults.

In nurseries and kindergartens, a strict morning filter is being carried out to prevent children with clinical symptoms of influenza and acute respiratory diseases from entering, and there is ongoing disinfection of surfaces and ventilation of premises.
