Parties in Macedonia agree on December 11 parliamentary election date

After talks which lasted several days, the main four political parties in the Republic of Macedonia reached an agreement. After a meeting at the Club of MPs, which lasted several hours, the US ambassador, Jess Baily confirmed the deal.

“We have good news to announce. Political parties reached an agreement one year after the agreement reached last July for further implementation of the Przino Agreement. We are hoping that this Agreement will pave the way for credible elections, where all sides will participate and which will be recognized by all sides,” the US ambassador said.

The document that was signed contains points which relate to the adjustment of issues such as: the improvement of voters’ lists, especially the verification of over 39 000 contesting voters and adjustments in the media.
