Greek foreign minister visiting Skopje
Greek foreign minister Nikos Kotzias was to visit Skopje on June 24 2015.
This is the first visit by the head of Greek diplomacy in a decade and this visit is held in the framework of a tour of the Balkans. A year ago, then-Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos visited Skopje, but in the capacity of the presidency of the EU, then held by Greece.
Kotzias was travelling to Skopje by car, in an effort to avoid “Alexander the Great” airport, because its name constitutes a provocation.
