Bulgarian – American working groups hold first meeting
The inaugural meeting of the US-Bulgaria Working Groups established during secretary of state John Kerry’s January 15 visit to Bulgaria has been held, the Foreign Ministry and the US embassy said on March 19.
The bilateral Working Groups will engage in co-operative projects in the fields of security and defence; energy security and diversification; rule of law; and cultural and educational exchange to strengthen people-to-people ties, the ministry and the embassy said in a joint statement.
“We look forward to a fruitful and ongoing strategic dialogue which will deepen and broaden the US Bulgaria partnership and friendship. We will report out accomplishments of the working group in the coming months,” the statement said.
