Polish Sejm speaker Sikorski survives no confidence vote

Polish MPs have voted against a no confidence motion brought by the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) against Sejm speaker Radosław Sikorski after he had mistakenly told the U.S. web portal Politico that Russian President Putin had allegedly proposed dividing Ukraine between Poland and Russia in 2008.

One hundred and forty six MPs voted for the motion, with 240 against and 48 abstaining.
