What’s On: One Design Week in Plovdiv from June 20 to 29
One Design Week, an international festival for design and visual culture, is being held in Plovdiv from June 20 to 29 2014.
The “week”, held annually since 2009, features a professional forum with prominent speakers from all over the world, as well as an extensive programme of open events aimed at the broader audience, including exhibitions, workshops, discussions, talks, screenings, parties, book launches and events for children.
According to the organisers, “One Design Week strives to serve as a platform which stimulates and supports the development of design professionals in Bulgaria. At the same time the festival aims to present and promote sustainable and sensible practices for better and beneficial visual environment from around the world.”
The first such series of events was held under the name Sofia Design Week in 2009 and in 2014 the festival will take place for the first in Plovdiv.
