Ukraine apologises to Serbia for offensive video
The embassy of Ukraine in Serbia has sent a note to the Serbian foreign ministry apologizing for a technical mistake in a promotional video of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The video, on relations between Ukraine and the European Union, included a map of Europe without Serbia.
The Serbian foreign ministry announced that the Ukrainian embassy had explained that the video did not represent Yatsenyuk’s personal view, nor the official position of Ukraine with regard to Balkan countries.
On March 24, Serbian foreign minister Ivan Mrkic summoned the Ukrainian charge d’affaires in Belgrade, expressing dissatisfaction over the fact that the map in the video did not show Serbia.
