Bulgaria chooses representative for ‘FameLab Olympics’ in Dublin

Veterinary science graduate and FameLab alumnus Toma Shtilianov has been votedBulgaria’s representative to take part in the “Famelab Olympics” as part of the Dublin City of Science on July 10.

At an event at the British Residence inSofia, Shtilianov narrowly beat Georgi Stoychev in an audience vote after the two gave presentations on themes in science and sport.

The July 10 event will see participation from 11 young scientists, all of them alumni from national FameLab competitions from 11 EU countries. Each will deliver three-minute presentations on science and sports.

The countries taking part in FameLab Olympics in Dublin are: Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland and the UK.
