Eurostat: 3.3% Unemployment in Bulgaria in December 2025

Unemployment in Bulgaria in December 2025 was 3.3 per cent, down from 3.5 per cent in November 2025 and from 3.8 per cent in December 2024, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on January 30, citing seasonally-adjusted data.

In December 2025, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2 per cent, down from 6.3 per cent in November 2025 as well as in December 2024, Eurostat said.

The EU unemployment rate was 5.9 per cent in December 2025, stable compared with November 2025 and with December 2024.

In Bulgaria, youth unemployment was 12 per cent in December 2025, down from 12.6 per cent in November 2025 but up from 9.6 per cent in December 2024.

In December 2025, the youth unemployment rate was 14.7 per cent in the EU, down from 14.9 per cent in the previous month, and 14.3 per cent in the euro area, also down from 14.4 per cent in November 2025, Eurostat said.
