Bulgaria’s government approves additional spending up to 170M euro for farmers affected by Middle East war

Meeting on August 19, the Bulgarian government adopted a decree approving additional spending of up to 170 million euro under the budget of the State Fund for Agriculture for 2026 to provide support to farmers due to increased prices of gas oil and fertilisers in connection with the crisis in the Middle East, the government information service said.

The state aid will be applied in compliance with the rules of the Temporary Framework for State Aid in response to the Middle East crisis, adopted by the European Commission, the statement said.
