Hemus 2026 defence products exhibition: Helicopters, F-16s to fly over Plovdiv

Bulgarian Air Force aircraft will take part in flyovers and a static display during the Hemus 2026 defence products and services exhibition, the Defence Ministry said.

On June 1, between 6pm and 7pm, an Mi-17 helicopter and a Cougar helicopter from the 24th Aviation Base – Krumovo will fly at low altitude over the city of Plovdiv and will perform a training exercise to demonstrate capabilities in the area of ​​the Plovdiv International Fair and the Maritsa River, together with personnel from the Joint Special Operations Command and the Military Police, the ministry said.

On June 3, from 8am to 9am, a Cougar helicopter will land at the Plovdiv International Fair to participate in a static display at the exhibition.

On June 3, from 11am to noon, two F-16s will fly over the area of ​​the Plovdiv International Fair and the central part of the city.

The same day, from 5pm to 7pm, an Mi-17 helicopter and a Cougar helicopter will fly over the area of ​​the Plovdiv International Fair at low altitude.

On June 4 and 5, from 9am to 10am, a Cougar helicopter from the 24th Aviation Base – Krumovo will perform a low-altitude flight over the city of Plovdiv with a landing in the area of ​​the Plovdiv International Fair to participate in a static display.
