Bulgaria’s exports in January – March 2026 up 3.7%, imports up 9.2% y/y
In January – March 2026, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 10 969.3 million euro, 3.7 per cent more than in January – March 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on May 13, citing preliminary data.
In March 2026, the total exports of goods added up to 4 095.2 million euro, an increase of 12 per cent compared with March 2025.
The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – March 2026 was14 252.2 million euro (at CIF prices), 9.2 per cent more than in January – March 2025.
In March 2026, the total imports of goods increased by 18.6 per cent compared with March 2025, adding up to 5 521.4 million euro.
Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – March 2026, amounting to 3 282.9 million euro.
In March 2026, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1 426.2 million euro.
