Eurostat: Bulgaria’s unemployment rate in April 2026 was 2.8%

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in April 2026 was 2.8 per cent, down from 2.9 per cent in March 2026 and from 3.4 per cent in April 2025, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on June 1, citing seasonally adjusted figures.

In April 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3 per cent, stable compared with March 2026 as well as with April 2025.

The EU unemployment rate was 6.0 per cent in April 2026, also stable compared with March 2026 and with April 2025. 

In April 2026, the youth unemployment rate was 15.1 per cent in the EU, down from 15.6 per cent in the previous month, and 14.7 per cent in the euro area, also down from 15.1 per cent in March 2026.

Youth unemployment in Bulgaria in April 2026 was 11 per cent, down from 11.1 per cent in March 2026 and from 13 per cent in April 2025, Eurostat said.
