Regional Health Inspectorate in Bulgaria’s Varna proposes declaring flu epidemic
The Regional Health Inspectorate in the district of Varna proposes declaring a flu epidemic in Varna District from January 14 to 19, Radio Varna reported on January 12.
This was announced by its director Tsonko Paunov after a meeting of the Regional Headquarters for Combating Influenza.
The Ministry of Health must decide whether school pupils will switch to an in-person form of education during this period.
Hospital visits and elective surgeries will be suspended.
Kindergartens and nurseries are expected to continue accepting children, but under increased medical supervision.
