Bulgaria warns of planned UK Border Force strike
Given the strike announced by the UK Border Force for March 15 and 16, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry urged those planning to travel to and from the UK to monitor the latest information from their carriers for possible delays/cancellations of flights and ferry services.
The strike is expected to affect all airports and ports in the country, as well as outsourced British border control posts in northern France, the Foreign Ministry said.
The strike will also affect goods transport, with lorry drivers are also expected to expect delays and queues at border crossings.
Passengers should be prepared for extended waiting times and must check with their travel agencies, tour operators and carriers for possible changes prior to travel.
Further information is available at the website of the UK government.
