Bulgaria’s exports in January up 22.8%, imports up 6.9% y/y

In January 2023, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 7 689.1 million leva, which is 22.8 per cent more than in January 2022, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on March 13.

The total value of all the goods imported into the country in January 2023 amounted to 8 178.7 million leva (at CIF prices), 6.9 per cent more than in January 2022.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January 2023, amounting to 489.6 million leva, the NSI said.
