Covid-19 in Bulgaria: In past day, 83 deaths, 2029 new cases

Eighty-three people in Bulgaria who had tested positive for Covid-19 died in the past day, bringing the country’s death toll linked to the disease to 19 744, according to the September 15 report by the unified information portal.

Of 21 451 tests in the past day, 2029 – about 9.45 per cent – proved positive.

To date, 475 299 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 39 546 are active. The number of active cases increased by 1183 in the past day.

The report said that 763 people were registered in the past day as having recovered, bringing the total to 416 009.

There are 4584 patients with Covid-19 in hospital, a decrease of three in the past day, with 386 in intensive care, an increase of 16.

Thirty-three medical personnel tested positive in the past day, bringing the total to 14 129.

The report said that 11 002 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were administered in Bulgaria in the past day, bringing the total to date to 2 427 013.

A total of 1 249 902 people in Bulgaria have completed the vaccination cycle, including 7671 in the past day.
