Covid-19 in Bulgaria: Of births and deaths
There are a number of trends that may be analysed in regard to the Covid-19 crisis in Bulgaria. Let us, for now, dwell on two – one that is clear, and another that is possible.
Let us, in turn, begin on the trend that is possible. For Bulgaria, a number of births in 2020 that is higher than usual.
For decades, Bulgaria has had negative population growth, in which its death rate significantly exceeds its birth rate. Lest we run ahead of ourselves, this article will not suggest that we will see that trend change.
