Russia says Polish comments on Smolensk air crash groundless
President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov Monday described as “groundless” and “unobjective” comments by Poland’s defence minister Antoni Macierewicz suggesting that the 2010 plane crash in Smolensk, Russia that killed the then Polish president, was an act of terrorism of the Russian state.
During a lecture given at a conference on warfare and terrorism on Saturday Macierewicz appeared to imply the death of president Lech Kaczynski in the Smolensk crash tragedy was the result of foul play.
