US to deploy heavy military equipment to Poland next year
Bases of heavy military equipment of American armed forced will be built in Poland mid-2016, defence minister Tomasz Siemoniak told PAP Polish news agency on Thursday. Polish-American talks on the matter have entered a decisive phase, he said.
“Following reconnaissance, after talks with American partners, two sites have been selected to store heavy equipment of the U.S. military – one in western Poland, and one in north-eastern Poland,” Siemoniak said. “We foresee that the pre-positioning will take place in mid-2016.”
