Bulgaria cancels concessions on three beaches, grants seven
Bulgaria’s cabinet on August 19 cancelled concession contracts for three Black Sea beaches while granting concessions for seven others, a media statement after the weekly government meeting said.
The concessions for Camping Delfin and Coral beaches were cancelled because the government was not convinced that the beaches would not be “overrun” by facilities put there, the statement said.
Private operators were given concessions for the beaches at SBS in Kavarna municipality, Smokini South, Smokini North, Kavatsite North, Zlatna Ribka, Sozopol-Budzhaka in Sozopol municipality and Kozluka in Nessebur municipality.
The concessions were awarded after a competition and will come into effect on January 1 2016, the statement said.
For one beach, Ikantaluka 2 in Kavarna, no one applied for the concession and the procedure was cancelled.
